Flora Fern has never needed to be loud to be noticed. Quiet, observant, and a little odd in the way people like her often are, she's spent most of her Hogwarts years blending into the corners of corridors and the hush between pages. She prefers it that way, until sixth year begins, and the Marauders crash into her life like a firework let off indoors.

Sirius Black is everything Flora isn't: reckless, radiant, and always surrounded by noise. He shouldn't even see her. But for some reason, he does. And once Sirius starts paying attention, he doesn't know how to stop.
