I wrote this book a while ago when i was a 13yr old student in my penultimate year of high school/secondary school. It's the first installment of "The Lifetimes", a coming-of-age
book series.
I identify a lot with the main character of this story (and his twin brother). In some ways, Francis is me, and in some ways, he is not, but in nearly every way, he is who I always wanted to be (or at least teenage me wanted to be). This story is spontaneous, adventurous and a great way to de-stress.
It's been nearly 10 years, and i am only now comfortable sharing this story here, and although there are a few grammar tweaks & thematic reviews, I did not make any major poetic or aesthetic changes to the raw manuscript. I hope you enjoy. x

For the booksmart yet naïve 16-year-old Nicky, high school in her quaint little hometown island in the Philippines had always been predictable. Until that senior year. Nicky thought she got things all figured out. She'd be very good at school and be the valedictorian of the single-section class of 2010 of the highly looked-up science high school in their island.
