I looked into his eyes. He definitely wasn't the one I wanted.

My fiancé , Terry, looked at me and gave me that dazzling smile that charmed basically everyone. Girls from all over town flocked to him. I was supposedly the "lucky one". Yes, he was handsome, just not my type.

You have to understand, my parents forced me into this. Terry's father said he would invest in my father's company if i agreed to marry Terry. This would have made sense in the 1800' s, but this is 2013.

"If anyone opposes the joining of these to people in holy matrimony, please speak now or forever hold your peace." the priest said.

I looked around the room. I had really hoped there would be, but I guess fate just wasn't on my side today.

I looked back up at terry, and tried to put my brave face on.

The priest started to talk again. "well then-"

Then the doors slammed open.

A man defiantly walked up the isle. He was scruffy and tall. The man had on a blue t-shirt and jeans. He had a few twigs in his hair, and mud splattered his pants. It was Jack, just my type.

I'd known him since the sixth grade, which was a long time, considering we were college age. We had been dating, until Terry made his offer.

He gave me his one sided grin, with those warm brown eyes. It surely wasn't dazzling, but it still sent jitters up my spine. He winked, and I smiled back.

He turned back toward the priest, now unsmiling and cold.

"I object."
