December 31st, 1926-a devil was born, disguised as a child. At Wool's Orphanage, Tom knew he was different, better than everyone else. He believed he possessed devastating power, and from a young age, he used it to his advantage. Amelia Knight, an orphan at the center, was the only child brave enough to stand up to Tom. He was intrigued by her, and they soon shared a small, fragile bond before parting ways. Years later, Tom excelled at Hogwarts, quickly rising as a first-rate wizard. But with his dark nature, he pursued his goals through charm and manipulation, hiding the disturbing path he walked. Then, an exchange student arrived-a muggle-born girl. This should have been the perfect chance to eliminate another muggle. But Tom found her familiar, something stirring inside him he'd never felt before. And then he realized who she was-and for the first time, he was scared. She was no threat. Perla was an angel. And he knew-why would the Devil fear a little lamb?

"Are you implying that I am responsible for Voldemort's actions?" Dumbledore's voice had finally turned cold. "No, I'm saying you're responsible for neglecting a young boy! You treated him with nothing but suspicion and coldness, and when he grew up suspicious and cold you took that as confirmation that you were always right about him." "I assume you have a reason for laying these heavy charges at my feet," said Dumbledore quietly. She sighed. "I just think... maybe you should take your own advice and try to solve this problem with love, not destruction. You don't have to destroy a Horcrux. You can heal it." "You speak of remorse," Dumbledore didn't sound impressed. "If I may, I see very little chance of convincing Voldemort to feel empathy for the things he has done -" "Not Voldemort," she interrupted. "Tom." "You are suggesting that we use Voldemort's first Horcrux to reanimate sixteen-year-old Tom Riddle." Dumbledore's tone left much to be desired. ✨Reposting from Ao3 and ff.net!!✨
