The summer before sophomore year was supposed to be a reset.
New friendships. New adventures. No old drama. But when Layla returns to the coastal town of Crescent Beach, she's greeted by more than just crashing waves and bonfire parties. Trey her almost something from last summer is back, brooding and unreadable as ever. His sister, Sierra, trying to rewrite her own story as she steps further into her identity, can't shake the confusion caused by Xavier, the golden boy with a complicated heart. Xavier has always been sunshine: bright, warm, and just out of reach. But as Layla grows closer to him, Sierra finds herself wondering if his attention means something or nothing at all. Love, secrets, heartbreak, and everything in between collide under the summer sun, and as tensions rise, these four will have to figure out:
What are we now? And who are we becoming? Main Character Profiles: * Layla: Empathetic, quiet strength, curious about love but afraid of its weight. She's back in Crescent Beach trying to find closure from Trey and figure out what she wants next. * Trey: Moody, intense, thoughtful. Looks like he doesn't care, but actually cares deeply. Still secretly hung up on Layla but afraid he ruins everything he touches. Protective older brother to Sierra. * Xavier: Charming, outgoing, a natural flirt. He's never had to think about how his words or actions affect others until this summer. He's into Layla but doesn't realize the emotional damage he's causing Sierra. * Sierra: Bold, witty, guarded. She's Trey's younger sister and is trans. She's spent the year becoming more confident but feels invisible to Xavier, even though everyone else sees how he pulls her in and pushes her away.

SIX-PACK SERIES BOOK THREE * While this book can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading book one (Alpha Gray) and book two (Alpha Theo) for context before diving into this book. JAX : I'm no stranger to one night stands. Lots of girls want to hook up with an alpha, so why should this one be any different? Maybe it's because she was the best I ever had. Maybe it's because she refused to tell me her name or anything about herself. We agreed to one night, no strings attached. The problem is, I can't get that night out of my head, and I've been obsessed with finding this girl ever since. When she shows up at the squad complex for recruit training, I feel like it's my lucky day- until my best friend introduces her as his sister and things get... complicated. I can't go against bro code, right? Even if Quinn is my dream girl. Even if there's a crazy attraction between us that I'm finding harder to resist every day. I'm so screwed. QUINN : One night. It was supposed to be one night of anonymous, meaningless sex with a handsome stranger. I just wanted to have a good time and try to forget about my cheating ex. It definitely did the trick- I haven't thought about my ex since, but now I can't stop thinking about that night. I can't stop thinking about the stranger with all the right moves that set my body on fire. When I arrive at the complex for a fresh start, I'm shocked to see him again- and even more surprised to find out that he's not only an alpha, but he's also one of my brother's best friends. Theo would kill Jax if he found out about that night. He can never know- which means I have to keep my distance from Jax. Even if I can't stop fantasizing about him. Even if it kills me. ~ This book contains mature content (steamy scenes!) and themes that may not be suitable for younger readers. If frequent use of profanity and f-words offend, then this book is not likely for you.
