Echoes of a Screaming Star

My name is Lydia Camille Grace Rogers. I was born in 1944, the daughter of Captain America-Steve Rogers-and Agent Margaret Carter. A child of war. A legacy no one asked me to live up to, yet everyone expected me to carry.

I never knew peace. Not really. My earliest memories are blurred with steel walls, cold hands, and voices that spoke in numbers, not names. HYDRA stole me before I could form a full sentence. I was their secret project. Their experiment.

They turned me into something... unnatural.

A banshee.

They unlocked something buried deep inside me-a scream that could stop a heart, a voice that could bring death. My nightmares became echoes of lives not yet lost. I didn't ask for this. I didn't want to feel death coming like a storm before it even reached the ground.

When my father found me, I was changed. So was he. He tried to hide the pain in his eyes, but I saw it. He blamed himself. But he still looked at me like I was his world, not a weapon.

And then there was Bucky Barnes-my father's best friend, the man with a haunted past. The one who didn't run when I screamed. Who didn't flinch when the banshee in me surfaced. He knew what it meant to be broken and rebuilt. Maybe that's why, even when I didn't trust myself... I trusted him.

This is more than a story about heroes or monsters.

It's about surviving what they made me.

And discovering who I'm meant to become.
