The Game is simple: kill or be killed.
What began as a competitive game for citizens of the lowest classes to earn their way into high society, quickly became a battle of life or death between even the closest of neighbors. In "The Cain Games," thirty players are chosen from a pool of applicants who live mere millimeters above the poverty line. Each player is given a name of another player, who becomes their target to kill. When someone is killed, their target becomes their killer's new target, and the game continues until there is only one player remaining. This champion is crowned with the highest of honors and granted a generous fortune to do with as they please.
Quick-witted and sharp-tongued, young assassin Tyler Corry is a master at his craft with numerous pages of red in his ledger. It is his first year being chosen to compete in the Cain Games, after spending years practicing on his own. He is ready to achieve greatness for himself and his family, but will he reach the end?
