What happens when the world crumples? After the death of her mother, Magnolia Turner is uprooted from everything she's ever known and sent to live with Barney-a father she never knew existed. Thrust into the glossy world of Melton Academy, a prep school for the East Coast's elite, Magnolia finds herself struggling to fit in while grappling with grief, identity, and the fractured family she's suddenly a part of. Then there's Archer Romona-charming, magnetic, and off-limits. Not only is he the school's star baseball player, he's also best friends with Magnolia's estranged half-brother. What starts as a complicated attraction quickly turns into something deeper, pulling Magnolia into a whirlwind of emotions she's not sure she's ready for. Navigating new friendships, painful memories, and forbidden feelings, Magnolia must decide who she wants to be in a world she never asked to be part of-and whether love can grow in the shadows of loss and secrets.
