The Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition (QCEC) is the world's oldest international writing competition for schools, run by the Royal Commonwealth Society since 1883, engaging young Commonwealth citizens (ages 14-18) to write on annual themes reflecting Commonwealth values like equality, leadership, and the environment, fostering global perspectives through creative writing, and promoting literacy across member nations.
