A Paranormal, Psychological Thriller Sometimes, resentful spirits pursue souls until they get what they want—vengeance and sinful pleasures. SUMMARY (Book 1) After Maggie McGee’s husband had committed suicide in their home, Maggie needed a place to live that would not remind her of the recent tragedy. She finds an affordable apartment in an old building sitting on a bluff along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. Maggie knew the building used to be a tuberculosis sanatorium, later transformed into a psychiatric hospital until finally closing its doors in 1969 due to patient abuse. However, what she did not know was that sometimes, sinister attachments from the past pursue souls until their evil needs are satisfied. Maggie questions her sanity and grasp of reality, as diabolic and envious predators work against her in this paranormal, psychological thriller.

What does it mean to be haunted? Long before the wood and stone began to crumble and crack, nothing sane or reasonable festered in the years the House stood empty. Holding whatever darkness and secrets within the walls of limestone and brick. No one, alive or dead, can truly prove to exist under the extreme conditions of the reality we have created or believe in. That I know to be true beyond belief, more than I could ever understand within the dream-like halls that rotted around me. Before you or I began to see where time left nothing spared, unchanged, or unchallenged. Amongst the places where mirrors are broken, doors are slammed shut, and brick walls hide where secrets and silence mix within the darkness that only I must traverse now. You are now complicit, dear reader, in the uncovering of what is within these pages of my experiences within the Crain House. And whatever walked there did not walk alone, knowing there is truth behind madness and lies.
