Juliet Marlow has two great loves in her life: her flower shop, Wild Petals, and Becca, her brutally honest best friend with a caffeine addiction and zero tolerance for flaky men. After a string of relationships so tragic they could be turned into a cautionary podcast series, Juliet has sworn off dating altogether. She's got peonies to prep, brides to pacify, and not nearly enough time to entertain another emotionally constipated man-child who "isn't looking for anything other than a boody call." Reed Dalton shows up one night minutes before closing, looking like a lumberjack catalog model with heartbreak in his eyes and a mysterious need for a dozen red roses. Juliet assumes he's either apologizing to his gorgeous girlfriend or burying a body. She lets him in anyway. (Mistake? Possibly. Tempting? Absolutely.) What starts as awkward banter over flower symbolism turns into late-night coffee dates, slow kisses behind the cooler, and a level of sexual tension that could knock over a bucket of hydrangeas. Reed is funny, charming, and somehow sees Juliet in a way no one else ever has.

Sci-fi nut, blonde bombshell, and severely no filter Brooke is ready for a fresh start. Done are the days of trashy boyfriends, who couldn't find the right spot if there were fluorescent signs pointing to it, and deadbeat mega mooches. Not to mention, the one night stands that leave you having to take a mental inventory of exactly what you've brought with you, when you're trying to make a speedy exit. That is until she meets Deacon. The mountain of a man she wouldn't mind trekking up to reach the top. He's the right kind of charming, the perfect amount of flirt, and the first guy who hasn't looked stumped when she opens her mouth to sass. In fact he's lightning quick on the sass himself. There's just one problem.. He doesn't date. In fact, Deacon's specialty is the one night of hot, sweaty fun. Something which Brooke is avoiding like the damn plague. However, when the conversations flow on, the insane attraction grows stronger, and the time spent together gets more heated, will they be able to resist the obvious pull they have towards each other forever?... Or does the man who never dates, have a reason for it that might tear them apart over and over...
