Liya Belmont never wanted to be a patient. Fear of doctors, needles, and anything medical has ruled her life for as long as she can remember. But when her health takes a dangerous turn, she's forced into a hospital bed-with no choice but to face everything she's spent years avoiding. Enter Luke rhodes: her best friend, her roommate... and a final-year dental student who knows her better than anyone. Fiercely loyal, steady, and quietly dominant, Luke refuses to let her suffer in silence. As Liya spirals between fear, shame, and resistance, Luke becomes the one person she can lean on-whether she wants to or not. What begins as a battle for her health becomes a slow, tender unraveling of trust, vulnerability, and something much deeper. With every hard conversation, every midnight scare, and every shaky moment where she lets herself need him, the bond between them grows into something undeniable. But Liya's journey is far from linear. There are relapses. Setbacks. A runaway attempt. And through it all, Luke stays at her side-not just as a caregiver, but as something more. A story of fear and healing, submission and strength, and a love that grows where it hurts most.

What started off as a small fling progressed into something deeper. A'liya has always wanted to be loved the proper way, and she meets Travis, who happens to be a married man. They originally met through her big brother who is best friends with Travis. Travis shows her what real love is supposed to feel like. He gives her everything she needs. Her love language is gifts, and Travis makes sure to fulfill her expectations. He always showers her with gifts, pay her bills on time, and he makes sure that every day she feels loved and appreciated. As their relationship grew stronger, she discovers that Travis is a toxic, manipulative, narcissist who can be challenging to be around at times. She is unaware of how to control her own emotions, and she does not want to be controlled, belittled, or taken for granted by the person she "love". A'Lia finds herself wondering if the relationship is worth this much pain or should she just leave while she can. Her manipulative boyfriend Travis, finds himself regretting everything he has put her through despite that A'Lia, is in love with him. All A'liya wants is a guy to treat her with respect, love, and care for her with every bone in his body. What happens when you find that guy, but he comes with a lot of baggage? Do you continue to stand by him, or do you let everything go to protect your peace? Being young does not justify childish behavior, but in A'Lia's case, she feels as if her being young is an excuse to continue her relationship with a married man despite the pain she is being put through. Love does not suppose to hurt. This toxic love story has been an ongoing journey for the two lovers, A'liya and Travis. She is so young, naive, and vulnerable, but will Travis be a blessing to her, or a curse?
