Can I Tell You A Story?
A story that became a One-shot So this story is based on the virtue of achievement. Wow, long description? That must mean either this is really important, or a teenager hacked this author's note, or I'm too lazy to change it (definitely the latter). Anyway, I'm EeveeInRamen, the Pokémon writer! And let's start the author's notes monologue! (Insert yawning reader here.) Relax, reading this note will only take you about eight hours. So this is a short story I've been wanting to try for a while since I love good stories and I also love Eevees. Like all good writers who try writing online, my summary does not do the story full credit. You'll just have to read it to see if you like it or not. First things first, Pokemon belongs to Pokemon and I don't own any Pokemon. The only thing I do own is the ice cream in the freezer and you can't have it! It's mine! (Eats all the ice cream). And now I own nothing, I should buy more ice cream sometime. This story is dedicated to my father, who taught me that all work is important only if it is done with other people in mind. Echo Cereus, an Umbreon with a case of selective mutism, is shipped off to the Kalos Kingdom with his estranged brother, Tanuki Cereus, a Flareon with a chronic case of clumsiness. Objective? Study the artifact known as the Evolutionite under the tutelage of the kingdom's rulers. For the socially adverse Echo, the situation looked bleak. Things only go from bleak to dire as he is sent to a small town and has to interact with Pokémon he isn't too fond of. However, things are never what they seem. There is more to Kalos than what meets the eye. Beneath the pristine surface of the region and the kingdom lie various concerns bubbling to the surface. Discrimination, harmful stereotypes, and dangerous Pokémon become quite noticeable over time.
