Anceus lives in a kingdom where magical creatures are mistreated. Anceus, himself, is a sea serpent who disguises himself as a human to blend into crowds. Under the Duke of Yasil, Anceus is protected and meets his son, Alberich. Soon, however the situation with the magical creatures gets bad, and Anceus flees. He returns years later, to find everything is in ruins.
