Set against the textured streets and soulful pulse of Chicago, this story follows the journey of two poets-Jada and Marcelo-whose hearts collide in the most complicated of ways. Marcelo is magnetic. Known around open mic circles and bookstore basements for his evocative lines and the trail of women left breathless in his wake, he wears his charm like a second skin. But beneath the surface is a man chasing redemption, still haunted by past mistakes and the fear of becoming his father. Poetry is his truth-but he's learning that truth is more than beautiful words. Jada, on the other hand, is guarded. Quietly brilliant, she writes from the shadows, letting her words do the speaking she can't always bring herself to voice. Scarred by past betrayal, she moves through life with deliberate caution, letting few in and trusting even fewer. Poetry is her armor-and sometimes, her only safe place. When their paths cross, it's art that connects them-but it's honesty that will test them. What begins as shared stanzas and late-night cafés quickly unravels into something deeper, and messier. A resurfaced ex. A secret child. A fractured past neither of them saw coming. Through it all, Jada and Marcelo must decide whether love can be rewritten-or if some verses are better left unfinished. This is a story about forgiveness, vulnerability, and the kind of love that demands more than passion-it asks for growth. For truth. For staying, even when it's hard.

Zaire isn't the type of man people dream about. He's the one they whisper about. The one mothers warn their daughters to stay away from. He's sharp edges, sleepless nights, and a past too heavy to carry. On the outside, he's all rage and silence. On the inside, he's drowning-haunted by mistakes, chained by loyalty, and convinced love isn't made for men like him. Then Imani comes crashing into his world. She's light where he's darkness, but she's got scars of her own. And no matter how many walls he builds, she keeps finding the cracks. Zaire doesn't know if she's the cure he's been running from...or the wound that finally destroys him. Because in his world, love isn't soft. It's survival. And sometimes survival leaves you BROKEN.
