Marcelo is magnetic. Known around open mic circles and bookstore basements for his evocative lines and the trail of women left breathless in his wake, he wears his charm like a second skin. But beneath the surface is a man chasing redemption, still haunted by past mistakes and the fear of becoming his father. Jada, on the other hand, is guarded. Quietly brilliant, she writes from the shadows, letting her words do the speaking she can't always bring herself to voice. Scarred by past betrayal, she moves through life with deliberate caution, letting few in and trusting even fewer. Poetry is her armor-and sometimes, her only safe place.
