Adriel used to love birthdays. The lights, the balloons, the cake shared with the children who grew up with her in the aisles of Freddy's. But after the death of her best friend, everything changed.
Now, twelve years later, she's back among familiar aisles and unfamiliar faces, accepting a job no one in their right mind would want.
