We all know the story of the boy who lived. But he was not the only child to be thrown head first into the crazy world and magic and witchcraft. Just a year before he would make his entrance into the wizarding world and go to Hogwarts for the first time, another young witch's life gets turned upside down when she learns about her magic abilities and begins her journey into the wonderful and adventurous life waiting for her in a castle in Scotland. Everything she thought she knew gets overthrown with magic, spells and potions but as she learns to find her way in the magical world her life begins to change, lies get exposed and truths revealed. Will she find her way through the net of secrets and unknowns before the war arrives? And can she make it through to see the light shine on her again?

His parents were death eaters and followed Lord Voldemort, they were now in prison in Askaban for their crimes. Barnaby now lived with his grandmother. In the Byrne household, young Rosie wanted to find her brother Jacob. He had gone missing in his third year looking for the cursed vaults they were said to be in Hogwarts itself and now was to search in her brother's steps.
