When a Navy SEAL mission in Iraq goes tragically wrong, Chief Sam Lawson is left shattered-his body broken, his future uncertain. Sent home with injuries no one expected him to survive, Sam is forced to face a new kind of war: recovery.

At home, his wife Allie becomes the anchor to a life neither of them recognize. She's holding up a household, raising their daughter, and caring for the man she almost lost-physically, emotionally, and in every way that matters.

This story is inspired by the real-life strength of Navy SEAL Joseph Hildebrand, whose journey shaped Sam's character in every way that counts.
