Ernesto Alvarez is a stupid, smiling goof, and Timothy Willis hates it. No one can really be that happy and genuine. He believes he can see right through the boy's act. Unfortunately, Timothy realizes all too late that Ernesto can see through his too.

Almost everyone at school has spoken to Ernesto Alvarez. He's kind, smart, funny, athletic, handsome, and can sing. What gets better than that? After taking a job at a small bakery, he meets the one boy he's never talked to. A boy with a huge secret he's spent trying to keep locked up.

In a chance encounter, sunshine meets storm cloud. Nothing good comes from sun after a rain...right?

Wyatt Kelly never had an easy life, at least in his opinion his life was never easy. Wyatt is 16 years old and lives on the streets, sleeps in alley way and manages to find odd jobs around time to pay for the very occasional new shirt or pair of pants from the second hand shop and his meager dinners every night. Now, you might be wondering why in the hell a 16 year old boy is living on the streets instead of living at home with a loving family for at least another two years? The answer is simple yet sad; his family which consisted of his mum, dad, an older brother and a younger sister all died in a house fire late one night while he was staying the night at a friend's house. Yes, he was taken into a foster home but he ran as far away from that home as he could after being beaten every day for a month because his foster father couldn't handle a 'fag' living in his home but he wouldn't send Wyatt back to the foster care system because he liked the money he received every month for keeping him. When he left he managed to leave the state he had lived in his entire 16 years, he escaped to two states from his own before settling where he was; San Diego California and he was originally from Salem, Oregon. He wasn't thrilled of being so far away from his families graves but he couldn't stand being in the foster home for however he would remain there. Wyatt plans on returning home when he turns 18 years old, only two more years before he can return and visit his family when he feels the need or would like to.

[BOOK 2] Diego Santiago was not your average teenager. He had a loving mother, a great best friend, a beautiful friend, an ex-boyfriend that gave him a traumatic experience, a soon-to-be stepbrother that helped along in that traumatic experience, a friend turned enemy, and finally, a messy slight crush. It's a handful. He was no longer a nobody but somebody with a bad name and a target on his head. He messed with the school's king, and he needed to face the consequences, or so they say and believe. Despite all these things that are making his life one big roller coaster, he still wants one thing in life, for his mother and friends to be happy. Caden Mitchell had a hectic life of his own as well. He was the enemy at first and is trying his best to become a true brother and a true lover. He knew he needed to change, but his old habits keep crawling back. He needed to learn and grow as a person, and for the sake of his mental health, he needed to change fast. Caden was on a mission, a mission to get back his soon-to-be stepbrother and his lover that meant more to him than he could express in words. He was growing desperate and was ready to do just about anything. Even if that meant leaving behind Victor, who he once saw was the closest thing to a brother he'd ever get.
