The Atlantic wind carried salt and whispers through the narrow streets of Porto. The cobbled path beneath Mira's sandals echoed as she climbed higher toward the terracotta rooftops, her breath catching-not from the steep hill, but from the sight of her.
Noa stood at the edge of the miradouro, her silhouette painted in golden light, cigarette forgotten between her fingers. The city stretched behind her like a half-finished canvas, but all Mira could see was the curve of her cheek, the line of her jaw, the way the sun turned her dark curls into bronze flames.
They weren't supposed to fall in love. Not in Portugal. Not after what they left behind.
But in a city suspended between sea and sky, between past and possibility, anything could happen.
Character Notes:
Mira Koskinen (28): A Helsinki-based photographer seeking to heal from an unspoken heartbreak. Quietly creative and emotionally observant, she often views the world through her camera lens, searching for meaning in light and shadow. She's reserved but thoughtful, with a Scandinavian aesthetic-minimalist and nostalgic.
