Akira is a pickpocket. And guess what? She steals from the wrong person. James Buchanan Barnes.
Eight months ago, Akira started appearing on public cameras for the first time. She's only a child. Eight months of the streets, stealing for her life. And one day, little does she know, she tries to steal from ex-HYDRA assassin, Bucky Barnes. And little does she know, they're similar in more ways than either of them know...
(P.S. I don't own Marvel or the Avengers and this is only fanfiction.)
Also this is my first piece of writing on Wattpad so pls don't judge. I'm not doing commissions.
(Facts are not accurate all the way through, just cause this started off with no link to the main plot of the MCU and I changed it so it was, like *ahem ahem* SHIELD and HYDRA still being around after CATWS so pls roll with it sorryyyyyyy)
The main perspective starts between The Winter Soldier and Age of Ultron. It includes some pre-CATWS in flashbacks, and the timeline jumps around a bit anyway, so, deal with it ig.

Soul Stealer ~ (A Bucky Barnes Love Story)
The fall of SHIELD and decimation of HYDRA was only the beginning. The history you thought you knew was a lie. Bucky Barnes may have escaped from HYDRA, but he didn't do it alone. He went back for a woman he barely remembers, but somehow can't forget. She's the secret everyone would die to possess. Hidden in plain sight until the day she disappeared without a trace. She's been a prisoner for longer than she's been alive, but she's done hiding. Thrust into the middle of a war they never wanted and forced to run from enemies and friends alike the only people they can trust are each other. Can two broken souls find peace or will the enemy they've been fighting their whole lives destroy them once and for all? The world may fear The Winter Solider, but they've never faced a threat like the Soul Stealer. (Bucky Barnes x OFC) ~ While some parts of this story may roughly follow the movies in the MCU there will be major cannon divergence. Hope you enjoy! I don't own/have rights to the MCU or any of its characters. However, the characters and plot lines I've created are my own. Please do not plagiarize.
The Ghost Agent (Book 1)
(Y/N) was taken by Hydra at a young age then tortured for almost 12 years and put under Hydra hypnosis turning her into a deadly assassin, maybe better than Black Widow, at one of their most discreet, hidden bases which unfortunately for her turns out the most successful projects, What happens when (Y/N) meets the Avengers? But they're her mission? Will the Avenger be able to help her? Avengers x reader fanfic - not an official Marvel story but a story is written in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. DISCLAIMER: I don't own any of the Marvel characters included in this story. The only characters I created and own are (Y/N) (That sounds really weird seeing as that's you lmao) and the ex Hydra Doctor called Dr.Pirogov. I also don't own any artwork in the story, the only art I own are the drawings I specifically say are mine.Complete
epiphany. (Bucky Barnes x Reader)
Part One of the "No Tricks" Trilogy. Sergeant James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes AKA The Winter Soldier doesn't remember much of his past. You are a former SHIELD intelligence analyst with a troubled past who seeks to help him uncover it. What you don't expect is to fall in love along the way. (Bucky Barnes x Reader). Setting: After CA:TWS until/during/after CA:CW - 2014 - 2016. NOTE: As the events of this book take place over two years, there will be multiple time skips/jumps in order for the story to progress without getting boring or repetitive. Just a heads up if that's not your jam. My OC belongs to me, anything associated with Marvel doesn't; I just use them as my playthings. NOTE: This story is for people 18+. There are mature themes explored in this story including but not limited to: suicide, violence, trauma, and graphic sex. There are warnings above each chapter, but just forewarning you. If you are under 18+, I'd suggest you find something else to read: 1) I don't want to corrupt you. 2) I don't need angry parents/guardians coming for me. But ultimately I can't stop you if you do decide to read this story.Complete
The Winter She Made
They were forged in war and fractured by the same hands that made them monsters. Katherine Zola was born with a name she never chose, the daughter of HYDRA's most notorious architect. A child genius, a living weapon, and the program's most effective ghost. Her mission logs were sealed in blood and buried in silence-until one day, she was given a name: Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes. She didn't know why HYDRA wanted him-not at first. Only that she was ordered to track, weaken, and retrieve him. That her mission began before his fall from the train in 1945. That she was the reason he ended up in enemy hands. And she did it. She followed orders. She delivered him. What she didn't expect was to care. What she didn't plan for was falling in love with the man she helped damn. Bucky Barnes thought he was just another casualty of HYDRA-another soldier stripped of self and turned into a weapon. But the truth was darker. His capture wasn't chance. It was chosen. He was targeted by a girl with smoke in her lungs, ghosts in her eyes, and a lie tucked in her smile. A girl who became everything to him, right before she disappeared. Decades later, they stand on opposite sides of the same war-both survivors of mind control, both drowning in guilt. And both still tethered to each other by a past neither can outrun. Because she was his mission long before he ever became hers. -Set during Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Thunderbolts -long book, buckle up for the ride. #1 in thewintersoldier 9.24.25 #1 in original character 9.23.25 #1 in natasharomanoff 12.28.25 #1 in avengersfanfiction 1.6.26 #2 in jamesbarnes 9.24.25 #3 in samwilson 10.9.25 #3 in marvel 12.30.25 #6 in wintersoldier 9.24.25Complete

Holding On | Bucky Barnes
It's been two months since Y/N returned to the Compound, but despite her best efforts, she can't seem to escape her trauma. Nightmares haunt her at night, while memories stalk her during the day; a never-ending cycle that she hopes she can smile her way through. She finds distraction in her busy schedule and a few quiet moments in-between, but no matter how hard she tries, she can't forget. And now that the world knows who she is, she likely never will. Some see her as a hero, others see her as a weapon. Y/N doesn't know which to believe-especially with the little control she feels she has over her life anymore. The journey to recovery is never easy, but Y/N thinks it may be impossible. *** [Part 2 of Reaching Out] [Bucky Barnes X Reader] [1st person POV] MAIN THEMES FROM PART 1: Y/N with powers, moving in with the Avengers, Bucky+Y/N romance, quick-burn, drama and trauma (of course), fluff on fluff on fluff. NOTES: Follows a timeline where Hydra is still active after 2014 (CA:WS), Avengers didn't break up after Civil War, and takes place ~one year after Bucky's return from Wakanda.Complete
