The world has never been normal for Max Lightwood junior, shadowhunting is no picnic. But he was born into a time just after a war, and just before another.
But what he doesn't realise is that he is more central to said war than he could ever imagine.

To the average mundane, Ama Murphy's life could not be more normal. She went to high school, got good grades, argued with her mother a lot, but, Ama has a secret. One bigger than her mundane world could ever contemplate, not only is she a close friend of a shadowhunter, but she finds herself leading a war, the same one both her mother, grandmother, and guardian tried so desperately to hide her from.

But sure at the end of the day, Max and Ama are just your average mundane and shadowhunter best friends, what could possibly go wrong?
