"Paulo, the Pink Rooster" is a great satirical allegory written with humor and social undertones. The plot centers on animals living on a farmyard. Among them are a young rebellious cow named Nedoyka, a pompous pink rooster named Paulo, a talkative goat named Marfa, a silent sheep, and others.
The plot in brief:
Nedoyka protests against milking, refuses to "give milk," and longs for freedom and independence.
Paulo, on the other hand, is focused on his appearance and attention, but loses his status when a new "fighting" rooster appears in the yard.
When the animals learn that the farmer is going to send Nedoyka to the slaughterhouse and Paulo to the soup, they decide to escape from the barn.
After an adventurous escape, they end up at a dairy factory and a poultry factory, where they see a mechanized system of animal exploitation.
Main themes:
- freedom versus subjugation;
- self-determination;
- the absurdity of cruelty to animals;
- satire on bureaucracy, military-style command, consumerism;
- internal conflict between conformity and rebellion.
Form: lively language, humor, sarcastic dialogues, parodic allusions to TV series, military discipline, even
basically just ch + oc oneshots and the occasional art, open for requests
mind you, this is stuff i write when i'm not working on my main book(s), so there's gonna be stories written purely for my own comfort as a means of coping sometimes.
most of them will be fluff, but sometimes they may be drafts for parts of future books or chapters.
this book will NOT be updated regularly.
