Five Alpha packs think they rule the Wolf Continent. Most have either forgotten or presumed dead the sixth one who had vanished into obscurity.
Over two decades ago, a catastrophic tragedy had devastated the Frost Haven pack, Angus Landry, withdrawing his people to the outer reaches of the Wolf Continent, shunning all attempts at communication from the other packs. Now, twenty one years on from the fateful night of that tragedy, Frost Haven has returned with a new Alpha at its head, sowing confusion within the the Alpha ranks attending the annual Alpha Conference.

Who is this new Alpha and why does he put up with his incompetent wolfless assistant? Why does the ditzy blond make Jayce's Merrick's wolf antsy, and why does every fibre of his being think all is not what it seems? The Bloodmoon Pack had been strong allies with Frost Haven before they had disappeared. Jayce didn't want to be their enemy, now that he was the Alpha of his pack, but it appeared he might not have any choice.
