While Adeline was at a party, her mother had called to check up on her. She walked outside t o the sidewalk and that was all she remembered. She was kidnapped by a man and woman in a mini van. She was given benzodiazepines, which is a drug that caused her amnesia. She woke up to classical music blaring through earbuds that were put into her ears. She couldn't see out the windows, she had no clue where she was or was heading. All she saw was a boy laying next to her about her age. But, he was still unconscious.
