In the small town of Verena, Valerio Del Nocturna finds himself drawn to a forgotten tombstone, Edward Matsuda, also known as Eddie, who died on October 28, 1944, during World War II. With no family or friends to remember him, Eddie's grave remained neglected. Moved by compassion, Valerio grew attached to him. As Día de los Muertos approached, Valerio left flowers at Eddie's resting place, offering the love and affection Eddie never received in life.

But when Valerio discovered that the cemetery planned to remove Eddie's tombstone, his heart broke. Desperate to protect Eddie's memory and resting place, Valerio turned to the only option left: a spell. One that could change everything. One that could bring Eddie back.

But if it worked... would Eddie still be human?
