Legally married at age 15, Luke and Amber Hemmings had a baby boy. Luke was ecstatic. Amber, not so much. Luke was head-over-heels in love with Amber. Amber only married Luke for the attention. With plans on being an actress, Amber wasn't staying with him long. As soon as their son, Damien, turned 3, Amber called for a divorce. She then ran off into the arms of a rich co-Star, Logan Richardson.

Luke has found an oasis though. A small fishing lake, known as Dockery Lake. He often takes Damien to play and look at the leaves. Father-son bonding time was every day between Luke and Damien.

Then enter Soldier Fate. A peculiar name for a peculiar girl. Dockery Lake is Soldier's oasis, too, but for a different reason.

Though the reasons were different, circumstances were the same. Both needed an escape, both found one.
