Leina Denzel and her friend Janel Johnson go on an adventure in Japan, they are in an unknown forest and they are split up. The forest is full of demons, which they discover as soon as they are apart. Janel can't be found and Leina comes across some yokai, the fox yokai Tomoe and the snake yokai Mizuki. (based off the characters from 'Kamisama Kiss'). They take her in to help. Little does Leina know, her life is going to change forever.
