Saphira: *Moves, switching hiding places* i was hired to gauge your skills and was supposed to report back within a weeks time
Z: Well you can go and tell them you found nothing *turns to face you knocking the gun out of your hand*
SA: Crap *ducks and rolls picking back up my gun and standing pointing it back at you*
Z: And...What you gong to do put a hole in your asset? Somehow I think you'd want me alive and well... Or at least your boss does...

*this is my recovered ongoing story, I lost my previous account, please keep reading here!* Nova Levine has her life going for her, working for one of the best party and events planners in the city, Signature Celebrations. It's a dream job and she's doing everything within her power to rise to the top. Her parents have tried to set her up with men before, all of whom had ideas about how to best tame her and her lifestyle. So when they insist on her bringing their idea of a date to her brother's wedding, she promises to come up with a plan. Heath Evander knew Nova when they were in high school. They were academic rivals and promised to never get involved. When he stole a top scholarship to Duke University, she would never forgive him. Now working for a rising law firm, and making a name for himself, he's surprised to see her after so long. But even though he should run from her idea, he's enticed. However, they would need to make it convincing for them to both get what they want. They are complete opposites in every way. He's dark and pragmatic. She's light and a visionary. And her family certainly wouldn't approve of him or their arrangement. But if they would stick to the rules, all would work out. After that they would part ways. But something holds them back. And something dark from their past presents itself. Secrets linger from both sides. In spite of much to tear them apart, a spark of attraction is burning to surface. Will they fan the flames or will it burn them? WARNING This book contains strong language, sexual scenes, alcohol, and violence. Age Limit: 18+

With the Shadows

30 parts Complete

Saya grew up in a small village, on an extremely small island. Her dad died when she was a year old. He was in the army and went off to fight but never returned. Saya's mom had cancer since Saya was six. Everyone knew it, but she tried so hard to hide it rather than ask for help. She tried to fight it at the same time but it never worked, the treatments always failed. When she died, Saya was barely eight years old, and had to go live with her uncle, on the opposite coast of the island. He was abusive to her, but she never had anywhere to go and Saya felt bad for him. His wife had died the year before, so he didn't think he had a purpose in life. The neighbors knew what he was doing, but didn't have the proof to bring it to the police. Saya heard of a tiquando class nearby, and wanted to learn to protect herself, so she snuck in every day and practiced from a safe distance. One day, two kids found her and they later became friends, their names were Lin and Jaune. When Saya was eleven, her uncle was murdered, and the police arrested her, since she was the only one living there. Later, Lin and Jaune were arrested trying to break her out. They've been there ever since. Hey guys! So I know this is a long description, but that is just a little background information on the main character in this book. This is one of my first stories so please forgive me for whatever my seem stupid.
