the story follows a fox-boy hybrid named Vlat in his younger years, we find hom forced to fight for the Second Russian Empire despite being a child with his Ukranian freind Zussman. he, himself, is Verdènijen (Ver-den-eh-hen) - a hybrid and anthropomorphic furry people between the Caucasus, Ukrainian border and Caspian Sea
the events are between 1996 and 1998, but the war started in 1994 and Vlat started fighting in 1995. The combatants are the SRE (and the subjects of Verdènijen Duchy and the Finnish Reorganized Dukedom post fall of Finland) and Iran in the Moscow Core while the European Defensive Comity consists of Prussia-Hanover, Bavaria, France and Finland.
