TLOU part 2: We find out that the doctor was Abby's dad. Her and a few survivors from the hospital become a part of The WLF (Washington Liberation Front) based in Seattle. She is out for revenge. 5 years later, she finds Joel and kills him in front of Ellie. She went back to seattle. A few months later, a bunch of WLF soldiers come back in body bags. She heard a rumor from a mutual friend, that Abby's friend/ ex-boyfriend, Owen, was the purpose of one of the deaths. She ends up going after him (he was at the Seattle Aquarium, his personal hideout) to see what actually happened. On her way there, she got kidnapped by Seraphites (a cult who is at war with the WLF). The story begins with her being hung up.
