A steady decline in human population has scientists frantic for a solution, till a single, simple yet complex idea arises: why not turn animals into humans. After all, their population is growing en mass. However this idea was abandoned after the project was discovered to be impossible at the time to turn an animal permanently and fully human. That was, until the war happened. This third World War has torn the world apart, plunged the it into a huge depression, and added to the already massive degression of human life. Parents flee in panic, atomic bombs are planted all over England and America, leaving Madison alone in her small city, unaware of the bomb sleeping beneath her feet. So alone, the girl dreamed of a friend, till one day, she finds a rather odd discovery: a dog, alone in an old hospital.
