Mara Hemswoth developed the cure to cancer with her research team at the age of 28. When things take an unexpected turn for the worst, she must figure out how to fix and survive her mistakes whilst dealing with the backlash. She struggles to deal with the guilt that has been placed upon her by herself and to survive in this new world that harbors no sympathy for her.
Simon Black is an officer who has it all. His loving girlfriend of ten years has cancer, so when a cure is discovered, he is quick to get his hands on it for her. However, after only a few days there are some notable changes within her that strains their relationship. He must do the unthinkable to survive and blames the person responsible, Mara Hemsworth.
