Disappear is a slow-burning sapphic story about two women learning to stay-first with each other, then with themselves. Sam, a quietly magnetic former bartender with a guarded past and a published novel and unfinished manuscripts, jokes about disappearing if she ever catches feelings. Nesa, a crowned beauty queen known for her rawness, tends to vanish for real-retreating into the silence of her high-rise condo, worn down by anxiety, pressure, and the weight of everyone's expectations. They meet by chance. Then meet again, by choice. Through virgin cocktails, jam sessions, earthquake nights, and long drives through the city's sleeping streets, their connection deepens-not through declarations or romance, but through presence. A shared meal. A song. A moment held just long enough. In a world that pushes them toward performance and survival, Disappear becomes a story about finding safety in someone else's quiet. About being seen when you're usually performing. And about the slow, aching, beautiful work of choosing to stay.

Quote Things we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end, if not always in the way we expect. Now where to begin? I'm Enid Lloyd. I have a sister and two loving parents, note my sarcasm. My parents never showed any care or love my way. They were always addicted to Esme, my older sister. As usual, we took a trip to our hometown, London for the winter. I didn't expect it to turn out like that. Really, I didn't expect it!
