My wolf was restless, but I managed to ignore his strong presence and kept running. We were deep into the woods, and I felt someone close. I saw a girl standing by the shore of a small river. Her hands were turned into fists, while a massive ball of water, fire, earth and wind were above her head. Wind flew everywhere, making me difficult to see her. I remained a few inches away from her. Suddenly the ball exploded, and she collapsed to her knees while a deep scream left her body. The wind stopped and my wolf got more impatient. I turned to leave but something made her turn to look at me. Her eyes weren't an ordinary color, they were silver. She landed her eyes on mine and gasped. My wolf howled and I felt like Heaven on Earth. "Mate." ... He was running. He was chasing his prey. He was beautiful. He was lonely for a long time. He was trained to be heartless. He was a monster. He was looking for her. He was about to fall in love. He was about to be abandoned by her. He was an Alpha. And no one says no to an Alpha ... Keira Jones, an unusual human being. Parker Wilde, the Alpha of the most powerful pack in the country. Complete different poles, yet only one thing ties them together. Mating bond, so strong to resist, so powerful to ignore it. Yet one of them has the enough strength to resist the pull. But the other one is completely devoted to the bond. With a dark past and future chasing both, one of them is about to regret the bond. When Josephine returned to her home town after the death of her parents she was prepared to take a job at the local hospital. She wasn't prepared to run head first into her werewolf mate. She spent her entire childhood as the wolfless daughter of an Alpha who thought his own Luna was weak for not having a wolf. He sacrificed his pack and the legacy of his bloodline to ensure power for himself. Now, it's up to Josephine and her Alpha, August, to save their entire pack, but they aren't prepared for the war they just joined. "Mr. August Hayes was responsible for the cinnamon rolls and the smell of fall spices. If it wasn't his intense body language or the burning gaze staring into my soul giving it away, it would have been those electric blue eyes. The same ones that stole my sleep. I gulped. Why me? I squirmed uncomfortably in front of the panel as Dr. Grace led me to my chair. She was eyeballing me with a look that told me I had to pull it together. I sat down and quickly crossed my legs, trying to make myself smaller. Nurse Kasey was smirking at me, giving me a knowing look. Great, another one. I sighed through my mouth, careful not to inhale anymore of his scent. I had to get it together. I couldn't be the doctor from New York City who strolled into Little Compton hospital and made herself look like a complete idiot. I plastered on a smile."
