Poetry
War is a state of conflict between two parties via the use of force and violence. War is most often known and waged between two different countries, with many examples throughout history. When wars are waged inside the mind, there are no rifles. There are no bullets. There are no declarations, no ambushes nor skirmishes. There are no power vacuums. There are no ideologies. This is a three-poem collection of poems written under a STATE OF WAR in one's mind. NOTE: DISTURBING IMAGES & IMAGERY ARE PRESENT WITHIN THE WORK, VIEW AND READ THEM ON YOUR OWN DISCRETION

I met him in the ward-room 407, just down the hall from mine. He said he was broken like me. Quiet. Gentle. Safe. But he's not a patient. He checked himself in. And I'm the reason he came. After the overdose, they said I'd lost control. But he knows the truth-because he's the one who watched me fall. Now I'm stuck inside this hospital with him, and the boy I'm falling for might be the very reason I tried to die. He says he can fix me. But first, I have to remember what he did.
