Calysta is a believer as her parents taught her to be. The one thing her parents missed is her being a cursed believer. All Calysta's magic comes with a price. The only thing that can break her curse is true love as it is the most powerful kind of magic in all of the believers. True love is the only way to save her with the curse as bad as it is. Calysta believes in one thing to help control her thirst for power, "Don't believe too hard and you'll be okay," her father's words. 

Will, being one of the few left in his elvin kind, stumbles acrossed Calysta and her curse. As he walks with her on her journey to her freedom, a tragedy occurs putting Calysta into a deep slumber.
