"Welcome class," Mr. Elm opened up. "We've got a new student today, please pay all respect to him as you would do on to others." The teacher looked at his paper he read off of as I walked in.

I nod my head to the class with my hat propped on my head. I look around and everyone is ither chewin their gum like a cow or talkin with others round them.

Mr. Elm took a look at me and opened his elderly mouth. "Sir would you like to say who you are allowed to the class please?" Im not sure if that's suppose to be a question or demand.

He kept his delicate eyes on me expectin me to speak. I give an uncertain nod. "My names Shawn Conway."

"Ain't you Brent's boy?" A stern man in the back blurred out.

I nodded slightly. The whole class laughed at me. I didn't get why they were laughin at me. My dad nor mom didn't do anythin out in public that I know of.

(Few hours earlier)

I was gettin ready for school when mom comes screamin down the hall. She pulled at her hair as she kept headin towards me. What I didn't notice till the last second was that she had a long stick in one hand. She whacked me right in the side knockin the wind out of me.

I was rushed to the hospital little after mom had gained control over herself and called 911. My eyesight became blurred as paramedics tried to talk to me. I finally let loose and blacked out not wantin to deal with this.

I woke up layin in a hospital bed. I glance over at the clock seein what time it was, it read 7:15. I had bout and hour and a half maybe an hour till school started. I rushed off the bed and pulled at the leads.
