Lilly is not your normal 16 year old girl, when she was 13 she found out that she had depression and also that she had cancer. Lovely, huh? No not really, between the pills and the Chemo her life is just one big blur of sickness and sadness. Having cancer can put somebody through hell but having cancer and being depressed that was like going through hell and then burning. Everything was going okay for her up until one awful night in July. On July 5th Lilly's dad committed suicide. This broke what was left of her already damaged heart because her dad promised that they would get through all their problems together. After her fathers death Lilly lost all hope that she would get better so she did the one thing that would satisfie the monster named depression , cutting.
Lilly is slowly dying and she needs someone to save her but who can love a dying monster?

He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it.
