Elliot has been the absent and unresponsive father as he is, and Gertrude was the woman who delivered their baby. Their baby had no name, since it was Gertrude was the only parent that takes care of their baby. Though, Elliot had a change of heart, and has yet to see if there would be efforts through the change.
The story shows how much Elliot has developed, especially from when he started to gain some sense about what he was doing. His father, his family, Gertrudes lifestyle, protecting both Gertrude and their child, and conflict with reconnecting back with them both.
Will Elliot finally change and see what he had done? Can Gertrude forgive him for what he did? Can the baby finally get a name? Will they all be reunited as a family?
They will have that destination among their journey.
