This is the story of a girl named Iris, whom her parents do not believe in. Iris always wanted to make her mother proud of her, but no matter what she did, her mother always complained about her and compared her to her younger brother, and sometimes even with her friends. She always tried hard, but it was never enough. Then one day her mother started to shout at her again. But this time, instead of crying, Iris remained silent. She had learned he mother would never be proud of her, so instead of trying to make her mother proud, she started to work towards a new goal: Just be better than her younger brother, no matter what, and to prove her mother wrong. Her heart was now filled with hatred, sorrow, and pain, the heart which was once filled with happiness, Then things took a turn that Iris never expected...

Like a bolt of lightning, this stupid boy appeared in my life. First day of summer break between first and second grade, he just appeared- standing on my porch like he was born there.
