Emmaline Howlett-Foster has lived a pretty normal life. Just erase the fact that her mom died and her dad went missing and has been presumed dead since she was four, and the other fact that her preschool teacher adopted her, she's a pretty normal girl. And maybe forget the fact that about a week ago, her little cuts and bruises started disappearing much quicker than normal. Oh, and the fact that everything seems much louder and brighter and smells worse than ever before. But those are minor details. Right?

The broken savior
My mother wasn't a mutant she wasn't born with the gift of evolution but she knew Charles Xavier from the past they shared. He ignored me at my mothers bequest due since mutants were a secret the majority of the world knew nothing about, she didn't want me in the institution. A week after my 9th birthday one night, I woke up to the smell of burning wood and furniture, I looked for my mother but saw a horror ill never forget a swirl of shadow had her in its hand. She was bleeding from her mouth and nose, when I went to help the shadow smacked me into the wall. My mom screamed in pain as I watched her turn into orange dust. The shadow spoke to me "Happiness is a lie. Life is horror. The light is always dying, all across the universe. The last star will flicker out someday. When it does, all that remains... shadow. And I will be its king, You have Xavier to thanks for this... " As it got closer I raised my hand and screamed a burning pain emanated from my hand and a bright light submerged the house... destroying 12 square blocks where were Xavier's X-men no where.

Her father tried to stop her mother from doing so, but when he came home he found out she already ditched (f/n) and he left her that night. At first it was difficult for her to do every day things since she would need both to balance herself when walking and/or grabbing and handing over things. Of course she wore an eyepatch, but the neighborhood bullies would still tease her and call her 'Cyclops' and it would annoy her so much. But her adopted parents kept the secret from her that she wasn't their biological child. So she never questioned if she really was or not since she kind of looked like them. Like she had the same (h/c) hair as her adopted father's, and her face shape was was pretty similar to her adopted mother's. She befriended a boy named Armin Arlert, who was also a bully target. He didn't mind her missing eye since she was only human and couldn't change that about her. He actually found it unique and she was still beautiful inside and out, with or without a missing eye. A Tale of Mischief and Mutants
When Samantha a mutant and X-man is rescued from her captors by S.H.I.E.L.D she finds comfort from an unlikely source. This story follows the relationship between my OC Samantha Howlett and everyone's favorite Jotun Loki Odinson. This is an AU where the X-men have existed in the MCU since the very beginning they are involved in the events that take place in the MCU such as the battle of New York and other "Avengers level threats." In this AU Thor Ragnarok goes down slightly differently with Thor loosing his hammer when he falls from the bifrost instead of it being broken by Hela. He finds it later and figures out its no match for Hela. Thor then goes to forge Stormbreaker which is also not strong enough and he's forced to allow Ragnarok to take place. Thanos is killed prior to 2018 so he never gets the infinity stones and most of the events in Infinity War and Endgame do not occur. In this AU Spider-Man has a public identity now and everyone's knows Peter Parker is Spider-Man. He didn't flip out like he does in the movies because Tony is there to help him through it. Magic works slightly differently than it does in the movies because I wrote this before some of the rules with it were established and it's too late to change it now for story reasons. There are also other differences that luckily can be explained away via the multiverse. Though I try to draw a lot of inspiration from the main MCU timeline and work with the continuity that gives me it's not always possible to do because of how this story needs to play out. TRIGGER WARNINGS: Strong language, violence, some sexual content (honestly not much more than a PG-13 movie would show) mentions and descriptions of physical abuse and sexual abuse.
