Who says money brings happiness?
Certainly not Cameron (28), who, despite achieving financial stability after selling a successful app and holding onto the lifelong dream of building a family, is forced to start over romantically after discovering her boyfriend Oliver's betrayal.

A new city. A house cloaked in mystery, where Jasper, the young former owner, died under suspicious circumstances. And neighbors full of secrets and surprises. Among them are Costas (30), charming and of Greek descent, and Joseph (42), a mysterious man who, despite a tense first meeting, seems willing to lower his defenses... at least with her.

Driven by a growing sense of unease, Cameron decides to investigate Jasper's death, with the help of a detective carrying the weight of his own troubled past. Their search for the truth will lead to unexpected revelations, and push Cameron to the point of risking her own life to uncover what really happened.

At Joseph's glamping resort, surrounded by her lifelong best friend Hannah and shaken by shocking truths, including a long-held secret from her older brother, Lucas, Cameron will be forced to confront the future fate has in store for her. A future that just might involve more than one of the men she's come to know... and one that will teach her happiness isn't something you buy... it's something you choose.

Cameron has always been "the little sister" in everyone's eyes especially to Chase, her brother's ridiculously good-looking best friend who practically grew up in their house. He used to tease her, ruffle her hair, and treat her like she was ten years old, even when she was seventeen. But years later, Cameron returns to her hometown for a fresh start after a rough breakup, and Chase Bennett isn't just her brother's friend anymore - he's now the co-owner of the town's most popular bar, confident, annoyingly protective, and way too good at remembering the little things about her. A temporary arrangement puts Cameron working at the bar to get back on her feet... meaning she's seeing Chase almost every day. There's tension in the way they trade barbs, an electricity when their hands brush while pouring drinks, and a look in his eyes that says he's noticing she's not so little anymore. The problem? Her brother is fiercely protective and is currently going through issues with his own work, meaning he's travelling more then usual - making Chase promise to "watch out for Cameron" while he's out of town. That promise doesn't exactly cover the nights they close the bar together, the quiet talks in the stockroom, or the slow, torturous moments where neither can seem to step away. When her brother returns earlier than planned and catches wind of something, Cameron and Chase have to face the fallout-and decide whether they're willing to risk the friendship that started it all for a love that might be worth every broken rule.

When Hannah returns to her sleepy hometown for a friend's wedding, she doesn't expect to run into Jack who is her childhood best friend, her high school almost, and the boy she never quite stopped thinking about. Years have passed, lives have changed, and Hannah isn't exactly free. She's engaged to a dependable man back home... but her heart wavers the second Jack looks at her like he still remembers everything they never said. Thrown together for a weekend of reunions, rehearsal dinners, and long-overdue toasts, old tensions rise fast and so does the chemistry. Jack is no longer the boy she left behind... he's more. He's angry, charming, wounded, and still very much in love with the version of her that used to run barefoot down the beach. Hannah tries to keep her distance. She tries to be polite, composed, the woman everyone expects her to be. But Jack doesn't let her hide. Not from him, not from what still simmers between them. Late nights, stolen glances, and one impulsive kiss under the stars unravel everything she thought was safe. When the truth of her engagement finally comes to light, heartbreak follows. But so does clarity. Forced to confront what she truly wants and it's not what's expected. Hannah breaks away from the life she built out of obligation and fear. And this time, she runs toward Jack. This is a sweeping, deeply intimate short love story. It's full of past regrets and future promises, quiet forgiveness and undeniable chemistry. From a wedding that wasn't theirs to a future they never thought they'd get, Jack and Hannah find their way back to each other through chaos, honesty, and finally, choice.

Completed December 2017. Highest ranking #9 in Mystery/Thriller! Mature topics: suicide & self harm. ••••••••••••••••••••••• Kieran and Lauriel are two opposite people that basically end up living the same life. Kieran is a fifteen year old teenager that has three siblings named Cameron, Jessica and Susannah, lives with his father as well as another unwanted person. Lauriel in the meantime has an older brother named Aaron, who is her only sibling, and truly truly hates life. She hates her family, her parents and everything in general. When she does something that she hopes her family never finds out about, she ends up going somewhere that she's never been before as well as meeting someone she doesn't remember ever meeting, but knows. All of a sudden, her life has changed (can't say for better or for worse) and she realises she's in a life or death situation. Same with Kieran. How he ends up being in the same place as Lauriel is the same (kinda) and he meets the same person as well. His life also changes. Long story short, these two totally different people, that only know each other because they go to the same school, might as well be twins because it's like they're living the same life, as mentioned earlier. Although for one person, this new life is better than the other person's.... But either way? They both end up being spies.
