I stand at the edge of the road
Watching life goes by
People come, people go
But at the end I am all alone.
Look at me, what do you see?
I’m what you want me to be
Do you really know your friends?
The one standing religiously by your side
The one who hides a secret life
The one you left behind
People come, people go
But at the end I’m all alone
Life goes by and responsibilities come
We forget that faithful friend
Who could get us of the edge
The one who chased our living nightmare
The one who gave you a shoulder
For you to share your deepest scare
Where are you my faithful friend?
People come, people go
I look around and I’m all alone
I stand at the edge of the road looking out
Watching people go on with their life
Waiting for that faithful friend.
