Kenma lives alone in the 'real' world, Kuroo doesn't exist there. He never did. Kuroo is not a memory, not a person Kenma forgot. He's just a fictional character, someone who first appeared in dreams, blurry and distant, and somehow became the only thing that felt real.

Drawn by dreams of a man who shouldn't exist, he finds himself in a world not meant for him, face to face with the only person who's ever truly seen him. but to return home, Kenma must leave behind the one connection that ever felt real... even if it was never meant to last.
