Surviving in a world consumed by the dead is supposed to be simple. Just run, hide, and never EVER get bitten. Macy thought she understood the rules of this world until she broke one and got scratched.
She changes in ways she cant explain. Is she still human? Or is she turning into the monster she swore she would never turn into.
When the line between zombie and human start to blur Macy runs into some danger she cant explain. Zombies she swears are watching her deep in the woods, always lurking around her, and people who betray her with great horror she never would have expected.
Macy and her demanding boss Ashlynn, and Jackson, a stranger they picked up on the way, struggle to find their way in this new dangerous world filled with new horrors everyday.
Will they survive?
Will she become the monster she never wanted to be?
Or will she become something more? Stronger and scarier than anything they have seen before?
