"No problem. Thanks for stopping by." I tuck a strand of hair behind my ear as I add, "You've got good timing. Come around at this time when you want some for fresh milk bread in the future."

"Guess I'll have to make your bakery a new stop on my morning route then." He says it's so casually, but I catch the way his eyes linger on me just a second longer than they need to. Curious maybe, or just thoughtful.

As he walks out the door I can't help but laugh slightly as I watch him immediately take out the milk bread from the bag and take a huge bite out of it.

Once he's fully out of my line of sight I put my earbud back in, pressing play on the video. The match resumes, the cheers and other noises fill my ear again as a faint smile lingers on my lips.
