"This is wrong..." I breathed, but even to my own ears, it didn't sound convincing. My back was pressed against the hallway wall, his body just inches from mine, heat radiating between us. We could get caught.

"Then stop me," Everest murmured, his voice tempting and low, swirling around me like smoke. "Tell me to back off. Say the word, and I will."

I didn't move or speak.

His fingers brushed along my collarbone, delicately. Then lower-slowly-trailing down to the center of my chest. I shivered beneath his touch.

When his hand hovered just above my waistband, his fingertips grazing the fabric, I sucked in a breath.

"Being this close to you..." he murmured, his voice turning me on more. His eyes flicked down to where his fingers toyed with the edge of my sweatpants. "Seeing you like this..." he leaned in, his breath brushing my skin, "it drives me crazy."
