From Me, To You

Lira Mendez has never been fond of letters. When her professor asks the class to write one, frustration wells up inside her-but she has no choice except to comply. Despite her hesitation, she begins to write. She feels confident, almost too confident, because she knows her recipient well. Surely, she thinks, a few simple words and familiar phrases will be enough.

Little does she know that writing a letter is not as simple as she thought. What begins as ink flowing from her hand slowly unravels into something deeper-until the words blur and the page ends in tears.
