All her life, Elizabeth had resorted to staying in bubble that consisted of her and her books. Then comes along Sam, a boy with shaggy brown hair and eyes that could warm any soul with just a glance. It doesn't exactly help that he sits right behind her in their philosophy class, or that he wants to take every chance he gets to talk to her.
What minor things actually turn out to be major? What tragedy will bring them closer together?
